National Geographic听Traveller听(UK) contributors听sweep听the BGTW and CATA awards 2025听
海角社区鈥檚 National Geographic Traveller (UK) team saw success across the British Guild of Travel Writer (BGTW) awards and the Central American Tourism Agency (CATA), with members of the team and its freelancers taking home the top prize across multiple categories.
The winners honoured at the BGTW Awards are:
- BGTW Photographer of The Year: Jeremy Flint for his portfolio,听including听published work in听听magazine.听
- Travel Feature of The Year听鈥撎鼸urope: Daniel Stables听for听his article 鈥樷��,听published in the听December 2024 issue of听National Geographic听Traveller听(UK), which judges noted听for its听鈥榚vocative,听atmospheric听writing鈥�.听
- Journey Feature of the Year: Jessica Vincent听for her article 鈥樷��,听published in the US guide alongside the Jan/Feb 2025 issue of听National Geographic听Traveller听(UK). Jessica was听commended听for her听鈥榗ommitted, sustained journalism鈥� and ability to combine 鈥榟istoric fact, political perspective and clear, mobile narrative鈥�.听听听
- Travel Photo Feature of the Year: Karolina听Wiercigroch听for her photo essay on 鈥樷��,听published in the June 2025 issue of听National Geographic听Traveller听(UK),听with听additional听recognition for听its听鈥榤ovement,听emotion听and clever composition鈥�.听
Separately,听Farida Zeynalova,听associate editor听at National Geographic Traveller (UK), was听recognised听at the听2025听CATA Awards听for the Travel Feature of the Year 鈥� Magazine (online or print)听with听her piece on听鈥樷��.听听
The (MEA) scheme recognises the very best work of members in travel writing, photography, blogging and broadcasting in a series of awards judged by UK and international travel industry professionals.
The CATA Awards 2025 honour excellence in travel storytelling and business practices that promote Central America and the Dominican Republic. The awards recognise outstanding traditional media, content creators and UK travel industry efforts promoting travel in Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and the Dominican Republic.
